Momentum picks up in State as 331 leaders file nominations on third day

As  many as 331 candidates from 113  Assembly constituencies filed their nomination papers on the third day on Wednesday, considered to be an auspicious day.

HYDERABAD: As  many as 331 candidates from 113  Assembly constituencies filed their nomination papers on the third day on Wednesday, considered to be an auspicious day.The prominent leaders who filed theie nominations include caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, T Harish Rao, Pocharam Srinivasa Reddy, C Laxma Reddy, Patnam Mahender Reddy, T Srinivas Yadav, Etela Rajender,   Jogu Ramana, Indrakaran Reddy, Gampa Goverdhan and others from the TRS.  

Jana Reddy, A Revanth Reddy, Damodar Raj Narasihma, Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy,  Gandra Venkatram Reddy,  Ponnam Prabhakar, Sridhar Babu, J Geetha Reddy, Sabita Indra Reddy, M Mukesh Goud and others from Congress. No nominations were filed for six assembly constituencies of Nizamabad (Rural), Palakurthi, Khammam, Charminar, Chandrayangutta and Bahadarpura. In Hyderabad District 44 candidates filed nominations from 12 out of the 15 assembly constituencies.

On Monday, about 48 candidates filed their papers and 39 candidates on Tuesday and 331 on Wednesday all totalling 417 nominations in the last three days.The party-wise nominations are TRS (78), INC (64) BJP (47), TDP (9),  BSP (7), CPM (5), CPI (1), NCP (2), MIM (1), Independents and others (117). A maximum of eight candidates filed in Chennur (SC) and LB Nagar candidates followed by seven candidates in Uppal and Malkajgiri constituencies, six candidates for Huzurabad, Mahbubnagar and Devarakadra constituencies.
