HYDERABAD: Is development a stranger to the Old City? Owaisi says, no! He claimed that development in seven constituencies in the area was on par with rest of the city. “Why would people in those seven constituencies elect us if we are not developing their neighbourhoods?” Owaisi argued while challenging people to file RTI and cross-check his claims.
“People’s aspirations have increased and we cannot afford to run from our work,” he said, adding that parking lots were coming up at Charminar bus stop to curb the menace of random parking. Responding to questions on Hyderabad Metro giving the Old City a miss, he said: “Isn’t the stretch between Assembly, MJ Market and Malakpet part of Hyderabad constituency?” He added that two SRDP bridges were coming up—from zoo park to Aramghar and Uppal to Owaisi Hospital.
