NIZAMABAD: Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader and MP K Kavitha dared MLC R Bhupathi Reddy to quit as MLC and then contest in the upcoming Assembly elections. Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, Kavitha insisted that Bhupathi Reddy should first quit as MLC, a position he achieved under the TRS party. Bhupathi Reddy recently quit TRS and joined the Congress party. Now he is aspiring for a Congress ticket to contest from Nizamabad Rural Assembly constituency.

“Respecting moral values, he (Bhupathi Reddy) should quit MLC post and then contest on Congress ticket. People will then use their vote to give the right judgment,” she said.

The TRS leader also expressed confidence that party candidate Bajireddy Govardhan will win the Nizamabad Rural seat with a thumping majority.

Kavitha also said her party leadership will take a decision on future of Rajya Sabha member D Srinivas. D Srinivas, who is popularly known as DS, is a former PCC president and joined TRS in 2015. However, in recent times he has started reviving relations with the grand old party.
