HYDERABAD: Two days after High Court judgment allowing protests at Dharna Chowk near Indira Park, senior Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao staged a protest at Dharna Chowk on Friday. He trained his guns on BJP over the Rafale deal and termed it as the biggest scam in NDA government.

Speaking to media persons, V Hanumantha Rao said, “Thanks to the High Court judgment, Dharna Chowk is now open for protestors who can raise their voices for their issues”. He said that after court orders, Congress party is conducting the first meeting on Rafale deal scam by NDA government. He recalled how the BJP and other Opposition parties raised a hue and cry over Bofors deal during the Congress regime which was worth just Rs 40 crore.

He alleged that Modi government has indulged in huge corruption worth over Rs 40,000 crore in Rafale deal to benefit Reliance Group.

He asked, why did the Modi government show interest in Anil Ambani’s company when it has no experience in defence manufacturing, he asked.

Taking on TRS, he reminded that “TRS supremo K Chandrashekar Rao promised that a Dalit would be made the first chief minister of Telangana. Did KCR fulfill his promise?  Now his son caretaker IT minister KT Rama Rao is throwing a challenge saying, if TRS party will not form the government, he will take the Sanyas”?

He alleged that people are not ready to trust TRS party leaders.
