Telangana polls: Suhasini, Kishan & Akbar among 643 to file papers on Day 6

Sunday being holiday, no nomination would be received. Monday is the last day for filing of nomination papers.

HYDERABAD: A record 643 candidates from various Assembly constituencies filed their nomination papers on the sixth day on Saturday taking the total to 1,497. The party-wise candidates who filed the nominations are Telangana Rashtra Samithi (44), Indian National Congress (57), Bharatiya Janata Party (56), Telugu Desam Party (16), BSP (40), CPM (12), CPI (1), NCP (12), MIM (2), Independents and others (402). 

On Monday, about 38 candidates filed their nominations in 48 Assembly constituencies while on Tuesday about 39 candidates from 34 Assembly constituencies, on Wednesday, 331 candidates filled from 114 ACs and 132 candidates on Thursday, 304 candidates filed nominations of Friday, all totalling to 1,497 nominations in the last six days.

In the last six days, about 156 candidates from TRS, Congress (165), BJP (142), TDP (32), BSP (70) and NCP (15) filed their nomination papers fro 119 Assembly constituencies. Sunday being holiday, no nomination would be received. Monday is the last day for filing of nomination papers.
