She made her debut in Sandalwood with ‘Monalisa’ and acted in ‘Mohini 9886788888’ with Auditya. Now Sadha makes a comeback to Sandalwood after four years with Shivarajkumar's 99th film ‘Mylari’. However, the gap does not seem to bother her.

“I am fortunate to get the chance to act in Shivarajkumar's 99th film. He is very cool on the sets and I learnt a lot from him,” said the Ratnagiri belle who plays a village girl in the movie directed by Chandru of ‘Taj Mahal’ fame. The actress is all praise for the weather in Bangalore and wants to act in more Kannada films. “The Bangalore climate is better than that of Hyderabad. I also like the food here. Biryani is my favourite. I want to visit various restaurants but producer Srinivas is a generous person. He gets me varieties of biryani,” said the gorgeous actress.

Sadha had the chance to act in the recent box-office hit ‘Aptharakshaka’ but missed doing so by a whisker. Now she has been asked to act in the Telugu version of the film and certainly does not want to miss it this time.

“I also got the chance to act in the Tamil film ‘Chandramukhi’. Director P Vasu asked me to play the role that was played by Jyothika but I was busy with ‘Anniyan’. He even asked me to act in ‘Aptharakshaka’ but again I was not able to do so. Now, he has asked me to act in the Telugu version of the movie. I can't miss this opportunity,” says the actress.

The choice seems to be apt.

In 2002, she won the best actress award with her maiden Telugu film, ‘Jayam’. The actress said that she will give priority to good roles. “I want to play roles that will add value to my career. I never bother acting just in commercial films,” she said. “I lost two such opportunities by not being able to act in ‘Chandramukhi’ and ‘Aptharakshaka’,” she added.

Sadha, who got 96 per cent in the PUC examination, was expected to join S&D College in Mumbai for an engineering course but ‘Jayam’ changed her destiny. “I wanted to pursue higher studies but acting came in the way. I became busy with Telugu and Tamil movies after the success of ‘Jayam’,” she said.

How much does she weigh?

“I weigh only 48 kg. I was 50 kg while acting in ‘Jayam’. I used to exercise to shed a few kilos but director Chandru advised me not to as my weight was suitable for the heroine's role,” said the actress, who is also acting in ‘Thunta Thunti’ in Kannada and ‘Puli Vesham’ in Tamil.
