Most stars make looking good seem effortless. But in reality, just like the rest of us, these celebrities don’t have it easy when it comes to keeping fit. From group cycling to bootcamps, we offer a list of interesting workouts that give stars a million-dollar body.

Group Therapy

Best known for her roles in Mean Girls and Les Misérables, Amanda Seyfried is no stranger to the spot light and short skirts. And the secret to her svelte body is a heavy dose of Barry’s Bootcamp. “To keep in shape, I do Barry’s Bootcamp when I am in New York,” says the star of the upcoming Lovelace, adding, “when I am not working, I am working out. I am not the kind of girl who stays skinny.” The workout includes intense cardio exercises and strength training. Perhaps Seyfried can take Kim Kardashian, Jessica Alba and Jake Gyllenhaal for a celebrityclass as they too follow the regime.

Health Cycle

Lady Gaga, Katie Holmes, Ashley Tisdale and more keenly, Nicole Kidman, have taken to SoulCycle, a high intensity workout that is a mix of cycling and upper body toning. The group exercise, fitted to pumping music with instructors barking out motivational sayings, is said to burn up to 700 calories in 45 minutes. It is no wonder that the leggy Aussie lass always looks in shape without being too bulky. Her ex-husband Tom Cruise is also a fan of this work out, as is the fit Bradley Cooper.

Intense Intervals

Considered to be a vigorous and dynamic exercise method, designed to rapidly transform your body in as few as eight workouts, Physique 57 is the fitness routine that Modern Family star Sofia Vergara opts for. Comprising cardiovascular, strength and stretching exercises through interval training, the P57 is considered to be one of the hardest in the world. But for this Latina lass, the workout is not too strenuous. “I don’t mind it because it is pretty easy and I don’t have to sweat too much. The harder part is getting to gym,” she laughs, elaborating, “I psychologically fool myself into believing it’s part of my job. And then, of course, once I’m done, I’m really glad I did it because I feel so good.” Hollywood starlets like Zooey Deschanel, Lisa Rinna and Kelly Ripa are also ardent followers of the P57.

Hunky dory

Voted the Sexiest Man Alive, it is no wonder that Channing Tatum has a gruelling workout to keep his body as chiseled as he does. But the good thing is, he makes it look easy. “I like to look lean because if I get too bulky I can’t move well, and I like to move,” he says, elaborating, “when I don’t work out I get really round and soft.” The hunky star follows CrossFit, a core strength and conditioning program that is constantly changing. Apparently what Tatum loves most about this workout is that the routines are adaptable and different each time, which helps him beat boredom. He also feels that CrossFit allows his body to constantly be challenged with a mix up of routines each day.

Bootilicious

There’s no doubting Jennifer Lopez’s skills as a dancer, and to suit that skill, this diva recommends Zumba workouts. Zumba, created by Columbian dancer and choreographer, Alberto Perez, combines dance and aerobic elements and includes hip-hop, salsa, merengue, mambo and martial arts. Lopez also says that it is a great way to release stress and keep you happy. “As women, we tend to give away a lot. We take care of a lot of people, and we can’t forget to take care of ourselves. If that means once a week you’re going to go off without the kids or without anybody and just go shoe shopping - well, that’s me, because I love shoes - or get a facial even if your sister thinks that’s selfish, or join a Zumba class, or take a painting class, or whatever, you’ve just got to do it,” she recently said.
