MUMBAI: Marathi film "Sairat" fame director Nagraj Manjule says that he will direct a Hindi film someday.

He was conferred with Maharashtra's Icon of the Year award by 92.7 Big FM on Thursday here where he spoke about the speculation of him working with megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

"Right now, I can't reveal much about it. It is too early to talk about that. But surely in future, I will direct Hindi films".

Talking about the rise of collaboration between Hindi and Marathi film industries, he said: "Till the time good movies are being made, there is no problem in collaboration with any industry."

On receiving the award, he said: "It feels really good to receive honour for your work. I feel our responsibility should be towards our work. People give award because they appreciate your work."

"It is a symbol that your work is being appreciated and praised by people. Awards don't increase responsibility towards work, but I feel we should be responsible enough to do our best work."

"I feel privileged when my name is taken with the industry's top league directors. All are doing their best work. Over the years, all these people have taken forward the industry and I am just a small part of this movement," he added.
