LOS ANGELES: Were you one of those who never saw Neil Armstrong’s iconic first steps on the moon? Get ready to see that moment on the big screen.

Universal studio announced that its Neil Armstrong biopic, ‘First Man,’ is to land in theatres on October 12, 2018, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

The movie reteams the duo of ‘La La Land,’ as director Damien Chazzelle is all set to direct this Ryan Gosling starrer.

Based on the book by James R. Hansen, the movie will explore the sacrifices and the cost — on Armstrong and on the nation — of one of the most dangerous missions in history.

Written by Josh Singer, the drama is described as a visceral, first-person account of NASA’s mission to land a man on the moon, focusing on the years 1961-1969 and Armstrong.
