HARARE: American singer Blake Shelton has just added another title to his name and that is ‘2017’s Sexiest Man Alive’.

“That y’all must be running out of people,” the Oklahoma-born singer told when he found out he was People Magazine’s pick, “Like, Wow, we’re down to somebody who is somewhat symmetrical.”

The 41-year-old singer, however, credited his girlfriend of two years, Gwen Stefani, for convincing him to embrace the crown.

“She goes, ‘Listen to me, you’re going to regret this for the rest of your life if you don’t take this gift and just live in the moment’,” Shelton said, as quoted by People.

‘The Voice’ coach went on to say that if people refer to him as the ‘Sexiest Man Alive’, he will reply, “You’re damn right, I’m Mr. Sexy! I’ve been ugly my whole life, if I can be sexy for a year, I’m taking it. I’m taking it.”

On a related note, Shelton’s latest album, 'Texoma Shore', was number one on Billboard Top Country Albums this week.
