After 'Heroin' and 'Fashion' in Hindi having earned critical acclaim from Indian audiences, a Bengali movie now dwells on the predicament of a beauty pageant winner over the newly-ordained stardom, merging masala and realistic genres for first time and reflecting the current change in Tollywood.

"My character in Knockout is not like Kareena's (Kapoor in Heroin) or Priyanka (Chopra in fashion). I have drawn references from both but chiselled with my own understanding," Kinni, portraying the role, told PTI here.

"In the aftermath of winning the crown I start missing the normal life, roaming, gulping phuchka and likewise.

"It is like being on cloud nine after realising your childhood dream and again seriously rueing the sudden loss of girl next door status," she said about the character.

During the shot, Kinni, the on-screen pageant winner rushes inside a bar after being tailed by a group and the plot unfolds which the director won't reveal.

Tollywood's first Khan Shoaib is pitted opposite the on-screen pageant winner in Knockout to be released next week.
