MTV Love School 2 will feature Karan Kundra and Anusha Dandekar as hosts

In the new season of MTV Love School, set in the outskirts of Jaipur, the duo will be seen helping young, estranged couples smooth out their relationships.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Television stars Karan Kundra and Anusha Dandekar have been dating for close to a year, and the couple only seems to be growing closer and stronger. So it was but natural for them to share their secret to happiness with the world.

In the new season of MTV Love School, set in the outskirts of Jaipur, the duo will be seen helping young, estranged couples smooth out the niggles and bumps in their relationships. They tell us more about what’s in store.

• Why is there a need for such a show?
• Kundra: When there are classes for sex education, I don’t see why there can’t be classes for romance and love. I think it’s equally important for young people to know how to handle the emotional aspects of intimate relationships.
• What are some of the issues the show deals with?
• Kundra: From commitment, trust, anger and respect issues to dealing with the pain of long distance relationships, I think the show covers all aspects of love and romance.
• What was your experience  shooting this?
• Dandekar: Everything was totally unexpected. I’ve stuck to doing shows about fashion as they are safe and fun. But this show was an emotional rollercoaster. It was definitely an eye-opener, but it was great fun, too.
• Tell us about the tasks couples have to complete?Dandekar: I can’t say too much but there are love exams and love assignments. And it was fascinating how the way each couple fared reflected how strong or improved their relationship was. A lot of thought has gone into designing these tasks. We also realised through these exercises that communication is the answer.
• How has your style philosophy been reflected in the show?
• Dandekar: I worked very closely with the stylist and we did a lot of shopping for the show. My style is very ‘moody’, so it depends on the temperature on that particular day, what I’m feeling, what I’m doing and so on. On the show, my looks go from grungy to feminine and everything in between. For Karan, we’ve included a lot of colourful shoes, hats, shorts, tees and jackets, with neutrals being the dominant colour.
• What has worked for you as a couple?
• Kundra: We didn’t jump into anything, it just happened without any pressure from either side. This has been the foundation of our relationship.
• Dandekar: I think we have a really good friendship. He is the guy I talk to about life and work, and we do a lot of fun things together. Basically he’s all the friends I need in one.
• What else are your currently working on?

Dandekar: I’m going to be launching my own fashion label soon. It’s something I’ve been working on for close to 10 years, so I’m very excited. Karan, on the hand, has a film releasing in February and will starting shooting for his next film in mid 2017.
