After portraying wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat in Dangal (2016), Aamir Khan’s next biopic is on Rakesh Sharma, the first Indian to go to space.
A few months ago, it was reported that the film was titled Sare Jahan Se Achcha. But according to sources, the film’s title has been changed to Salute.
The film will be directed by Mahesh Mathia and will be produced under Sidharth Roy Kapur’s banner, Roy Kapur Films. Meanwhile, Aamir is busy working on Secret Superstar and Thugs of Hindostan, after which he will start working on the biopic.
