After playing the character of a boy next door in Student of The Year and Main Tera Hero, Varun Dhawan surprised everyone with his performance in Sriram Raghavan’s Badlapur. The actor has now reportedly signed yet another dark content driven film directed by Shoojit Sircar.
Dhawan, who is gearing up for the release of Badrinath Ki Dulhania, will start shooting for Shoojit Sircar’s next by the end of this year. The movie won’t be a slice of life film; rather it is a dark heart breaking story of a boy who is in his late 20’s.
Despite a dark undertone, both Shoojit and Varun are keen to narrate the story in an interesting format. The two have been discussing the possibility of collaboration for a while now and have finally zeroed in on this subject.
The yet to be titled film will be produced by Shoojit Sircar under his banner, Rising Sun Films.
