Musanje Mahesh’s film Belli is a special one for the filmmaker. The multistarrer has Shivarajkumar in the lead along with Kriti Kharbanda, Vinod Prabhakar, Deepak, Prashanth, Venkatesh, Adi Lokesh, among others.
Belli seems to be a special film for Mahesh, who wanted to release it around Kannada Rajyotsava.
He says, “Different is a cliched word that comes out of every filmmaker’s mouth. But I vouch for that difference in this film, which will see Shivarajkumar in a totally different role.”
“It will be nothing like the previous 105 films he has acted in. Shivarajkumar is a mass hero and, like all other films, in Belli too, he plays a don who saves the day. But his character gets shaped when he has an unstable mind. Shivarajkumar is also happy with the role. Secondly, this is a rare film which has been completed in time. I don’t think any Shivarajkumar’s movies have released on schedule. This was possible only because the crew was very cooperative,” he says.
Shivarajkumar will be seen in three shades, for which the actor took a lot of time to prepare.
“The character in which he has an unstable mind, took longer to shoot and that will be the highlight of the movie,” says Mahesh, adding that there is a lot of expectation from this film. “If everything goes as expected, this film in a way will boost my career,” he says.
