The Rajinikanth starrer Lingaa though made in Tamil, seems to have plenty of connections with the Kannada film industry. To start with, the film has been produced by Rockline Venkatesh, who has invested in a lot of good projects in Kannada as well. The film’s story is written by Pon Kumar who has directed Kannada films including Vishnuvardhana, Kempe Gowda and Jai Lalitha. He is currently working with Sharan in Raja Rajendra.
Most of the shoot for Lingaa took place in parts of Mysore, Shimoga as well as the surrounding areas.
And as per the latest news, the trailer of Puneeth Rajkumar’s Rana Vikrama is to be attached with with Lingaa. Producer Jayanna plans to release the theatre trailer of Rana Vikrama along with Linga, which is releasing on December 12 on Rajinikanth’s birthday. Director Pavan Wadeyar who is currently busy shooting for Rana Vikrama is also working on the trailer.
