Uppi ribs stars

The music of Uppi 2 was released with much fan fare at Ruppis Resort last Friday. Producer and actor Priyanka Upendra organised a fashion show choreographed by Ramesh Dembla. Uppi too was seen shaking a leg to a couple of songs from the album of his directorial film. While the five songs composed by Gurukiran have become a rage across all the radio channels and among his fans, one particular song ‘No Excuse me please...Elaar Kaal Elitade Kaala... is garnering a lot more attention than the rest. The song which is  conversational with Uppi himself rendering his voice has good-naturedly ribbed quite a few stars of the Kannada industry. This comes at a time when top stars are making fun of other actors but, coming from Upendra, this was quite surprising as he has always refrained from even talking against any actor. Uppi, through this particularly song explains the current status of stars in Kannada industry while it also says that every actor goes through highs and lows. He also goes on  add that there is an opportunity for other stars too to pull his leg as Uppi 2 is on its way. Going by Jaggesh’s tweet, the song has not gone down well with the actor.

Uppi 2 also has Puneeth Rajkumar rendering his voice for a song while singers Vijay Prakash, Chaitra Nitin, Rajaram Shastri are a  part of the album. Gurukiran has also rapped in the film.
