Nataraja Service Rolls with a Song

The film will see director Pavan Wadeyar and actor Sharan collaborating for the first time

Pavan Wadeyar’s upcoming film Nataraja Service is going through brisk shooting with the crew currently involved in filming a song sequence in Bengaluru. The film, presented by Puneeth Rajkumar, has Sharan in the lead and is produced by NS Rajkumar. Mayuri, who is paired opposite Sharan as the female lead, joined the sets yesterday.

The first look of the film has been revealed, creating curiosity about the film's genre. “To create some enthusiasm among the team, we started with the song shoot, which is a tapanguchi number. The song Petrol mugidare…Nataraja Service...Puncture aadre... Nataraja Service…is written by me and has a message which relates to the benefits of walking. The song is rendered in a philosophical manner, which is also the theme of the film,” explains Pavan.

Interestingly, the title Nataraja Service was Pavan’s idea which came up he was writing the script using a Nataraja pencil. “The hero’s name is Nataraja and incidentally, when thinking for a title, I had a pencil with a similar name,” says Pavan who adds that the particular song comes in a situation when the hero’s life changes because of a person and he is happy about it. “The dance sequence is choreographed by Murali Master and is shaping up very well,” he says. The makers are only going with the song shoot for this schedule and will be back again in January to start with the talkie portions. “In between, I will complete the post production of my film Jessie, which I hope will be a trendsetter. Meanwhile Sharan has his Jai Maruthi 800 to be completed,” says the director.

Music is by Anup Seelan, and the makers have roped in  Arul K Somasundaram. as cinematographer.
