Muthappa rai to watch

The film, inspired by a Malayalam film Amar Akbar Anthony, is being made in Kannada as John Jani Janardhan for the social message it conveys

Muthappa Rai will be in the audience watching Krishna Ajai Rao, Yogi and Krishna-starrer John Jani Janardhan, which will be releasing this week. Rai will be accompanied by the movie's star cast.

Producer L Padmanabh confirms the news and tells City Express that it was Rai who had suggested this story be made in Kannada. "He thought the original film, an entertainer, has a message for the audience since the film talks about middle-class values and about society," says the Padmanabha. "So this film was made after we got a green signal from him.
This is a debut venture for MR Pictures and L Padmanabha has partnered with K Girish and CN Sashikiran, who have invested in the film.  
The banner which has been named as a mark of respect to Muthappa Rai, and Padmanabh says that the businessman is very passionate about films and had even produced a Tamil film under the same banner long ago.

"He now wants one good Kannada film out every year," says Padmanabh.
The multi-starrer directed by Guru Deshpande has Malashree playing an important role with Aindrita Ray making a guest appearances.  It has music by Arjun Janya and camerawork by
Santhosh Rai Pathaje.
