Another Mumbai import comes to South to make her mark in Sandalwood.
The makers of John Jani Janardhan have chosen Kamna Ranawat as their heroine.
The multistarrer directed by Guru Deshpande has Ajai Rao, Krishna and Yogi playing the leads with Malashree playing an important role. The director confirms the news and says,
"We did browse through a few heroines and we felt Kamna fit the bill and that's why we chose her."
Kamna is a model-turned-actress, who is mostly seen in television and print advertisements. She is up one step now, ready to scorch the big screen. John Jani Janardhan being her first film in
Kannada will also help her make a mark in Telugu industry.
The film made under
MR Pictures' banner is being produced by L Padmanabh, K Girish and Sashikiran, and all set to go on floors from
May 9.
