Director Shivu Jamakhandi of Nanna Ninna Prem Kathe has managed to rope in five actors to sing songs for his film. The lead pair - Vijay Raghavendra and Nidhi Subaiah -- have sung a song each and so have Upendra, Puneeth Rajkumar and Chikkanna. Shivu says, "Since ours is a music-oriented subject, the songs will run along with the story. There are seven tracks in total."

It has been the director's wish to have actors who are also professional singers in his film, which has now been fulfilled. Shivu himself has written the lyrics for all the songs and has composed music for the film.

"Initially, I sent them the lyrics and briefed them about the situation. They fixed a date after which they heard the song and did the needful," he says.

Interestingly, he has given songs to actors depending on their on and off screen personalities. "A song sung by Puneeth is  a tribute to the entire film industry. It talks about the film fraternity including actors, directors, producers and technicians. Chikkanna being a comedian, I have made him sing a song with pathos.  Upendra has sung a song in North Karnataka lingo. Vijay Raghavendra and Nidhi have sung love songs."

The makers are now gearing up for a grand audio release today.

As for the film, Shivu says, it is a film that will make people remember films like Hum Aapke Hai Kaun, therefore expect a  family entertainer.

Produced by Anand S Namagouda, the film also features Tilak Shekar, Chikkanna, Gururaj Hoskote and Sudha Belawadi among others in the starcast.
