Mayuri Kyatari, a Sandalwood actress who is a bag of surprises and with many talents, started her career with a TV serial — Ashwini Nakshatra.

She marked her silver-screen debut with Krishna Leela and is now a sought-after heroine. Her career has taken an upswing after bagging good projects with established directors. The actress, after Ishtakayama, is now excited about her next release Nataraja Service. She is currently shooting for Kariya 2 and has recently signed up another film with Gurunandan.

Speaking to City Express,  Mayuri says that she owes everything to hardwork. "Today, I feel proud of myself, because I have struggled to reach this stage. I don't believe in luck but hard work and I don't like shortcuts to success."

It is of course a big deal to work with well-known directors, she says. "After working with directors Shashank and Nagathihalli Chandrashekar, I am glad to have caught attention of Pavan Wadeyar, who I consider a star director. Nataraja Service directed by him is big because it is being presented by Puneeth Rajkumar and produced by NS Rajkumar. I had really liked the way Pavan had made Googly and, after getting to know him better on the sets, I realised that he knows how to bring out the talent of an artiste," the actess says.
Mayuri says like Nataraja Service, a slang for 'walking' in Kannada, many life experiences can be related to 'walking'. "I have been walking since my childhood," she says.

"Coming from a middle-class family, I didn't have the luxury of being picked up and dropped from any place. I walked to my school, my tuition class and did so till my PUC. Despite the little luxury I can afford today, I prefer walking. The same goes with my career too. I don't want to get carried away by the fame or appreciation, I want to walk through it," says Mayuri.

"I am glad my mother is by my side," she says, "my dad supported me too, but I lost him three months ago."
Mayuri is also happy to have met Sharan through Nataraja Service who, she says, is one of the best people she has met in her life. Sharan always tries to make people smile and is a foodie.
