Rachita Ram, who has been waiting to take up her next after Bharjari has now been confirmed as the female lead opposite Manoranjan. The yet-to- be-titled film helmed by Nanda Kishore is the remake of Dhanush-starrer Velai Illa Pattadhari (VIP). Initially, it was rumoured Amala Paul, who acted in the original, will be part of the Kannada version, which now stands cancelled. Confirming about Rachita coming on board is Rockline Venkatesh and he says, "We have now finalised the Bulbul heroine and the project will roll from next month, before which the rest of the star cast will be finalised”.
The actress who had a break through with Bulbul starring Darshan has worked with stars including Sudeep, Puneeth, Ganesh, Sriimurali and Dhruva Sarja. This is the first time she will be sharing screen space with Manoranjan, and this will be a fresh pairing for Sandalwood silver screen. Currently, Nanda Kishore is gearing up for the release of Mukunda Murari, slated for a Deepavali release. If all goes well, the project with Rockline will go on floors from the first week of November.
Meanwhile, City Express checked with Rockline Venkatesh about the latest rumours of bringing together Shivarajkumar and Yash in a film, that is likely to go on floors next year, to which he replies, "I will not talk about a film until I have the business module ready. There was discussion, but nothing can be confirmed. As of now, I am gearing up for the release of Ramesh Aravind's Sundaraanga Jaana and busy with my project with S Narayan and will soon start with Nanda Kishore."
