Dana Kayonu out for Dussehra

Dana Kayonu out for Dussehra

Though Yogaraj Bhat completed the shoot of his upcoming film Dana Kayonu well in time, its release got delayed. Reason is that it has heavy CG (computer graphics) work that consumed almost three months of the director's time.

"The final round of work was done only last week," says Bhatru, who is now readying to go to the censors. "Meanwhile, we will be seeking a clearance from the Animal Board. We should be out with the film the first week of October, during Dussehra festival," the director tells City Express.

CG is not an easy task. "We can't expect animals to act the way we want and that's when CG comes handy. The work cannot be okayed in one or two takes and needs a lot of improvisation. Even to show an animal wagging its tail perfectly we took three weeks. We can employ animals but we have to follow reasonable laws that the board has put forward," he explains.

Though there was a delay, Bhatru says, songs by V Harikrishna kept the buzz going. With Duniya Vijay in the lead, he adds, action will be one of the highlights in Dana Kayonu. "You can expect some mind-blowing action stunts. The scenes were planned during the scripting stages, but the number was doubled after Vijay came into the picture," says the director.

The film made under RS Productions has Priyamani playing the female lead with Rangayana Raghu and Suchendra Prasad also in the cast. It has Sugnan's cinematography.
