Ria Nalvade, a model and winner of the Fresh Face 2016, is making her acting debut in Sandalwood. The Bengaluru-based pretty lass has been roped in to play the lead opposite Nikhil Kumar.
This is Nikhil’s second movie after Jaguar and the team had been searching for a fresh face. That’s when they zeroed in on Ria. In fact, the team was keen on pairing Nikhil with a newbie. The production team had received around 600 applications out of which they picked Ria Nalvade. In the earlier film, Jaguar, Deepti Sati played the female lead opposite Nikhil.
All of 17 years, Ria is a dancer as well.
This film will be directed by Chethan Kumar of Bharjari fame. More details about the film is awaited and the team will be making an official announcement soon.
With the lead cast finalised, the team is waiting to decide on the supporting cast and other crew members.
The film will go on floors in May and is being made under Channambika Productions. It will have V Harikrishna’s music and Sreesha Kuduvalli’s cinematography..
