Bahaddhur, a directorial debut of Chethan Kumar released in 2014, was well-appreciated by Tollywood producer Allu Aravind and he had then taken the remake rights of the film. Two years later, the film is now set to be remade in Telugu and interestingly will have Ram charan playing the lead with Allu Arjun giving a voiceover.  For the Kannada version, Puneeth Raj Kumar had given a voiceover.

Bahaddhur, made under RS Production, was the director’s first film and second for Dhruva Saraja after Addhuri. The film was a successful hit and made a good collection at the box office.

Though news of the remake is doing the rounds in Telugu industry, details about the director or the technicians have not been revealed. Apparently, Ramcharan is currently shooting for Sukumar’s film, tentatively titled RC11, and his next project will be Bahaddhur remake.

Chethan says, about the remake, “I remember Allu Arvind watching Bahaddhur at Orion Mall around the time it was released and producer Srikanth had informed me that the remake rights have been sold to them. I was glad that my first film had been considered for a remake and, moreover, one in which a star like Ramcharan plays the lead... it only adds to its value.”

Interestingly, the director’s second film, Bharjari , which is yet to be released is likely to be remade in Telugu.
