Hari Santhosh to direct Sharan

Director, basking in success of Kaalej Kumar, will helm a family drama for actor; Yet-to-be-titled film to be produced by Tarun Shivappa will go on floors from January 2018

Hari Santhosh is extremely happy with his latest directorial Kaalej Kumar, which was well-received by the audience. The director, taking no time off, has shifted his focus on to his next project and he has chosen to helm a film for actor Sharan, with a story written by Tarun Sudhir.

The film  produced by Tarun Shivappa, of Rose fame, and there had been reports of him working with Sharan. After names of a couple of directors did the rounds, the filmmakers have decided on Hari Santhosh, believing that he could do justice to telling of family drama.

Sharan is nearly done with the shoot for Anil Kumar’s directorial Rambo 2, and is now on the sets of lyricist-turned-director Yoganand Muddanna’s debut project. This film with Hari Santhosh will be the actor’s first project to start in 2018.

A script pooja for it may be held before December 15 and soon more details will be shared regarding the rest of the cast and technicians. The film will go on floors by mid-January for which Hari Santhosh is now busy with the pre-production work.
