Diganth, who has been lying low after his freak accident while shooting for his Bollywood film Ticket to Bollywood, is back with Chowka, which releases this week. Nearly a year ago, a stilleto hurled by Amyra Dastur during the shoot hit his face and injured his eye. We now hear that the actor has signed on his next Kannada film.

Harsha Entertainers, who is set to remake the  Malayalam film Charlie, confirms to City Express that Diganth will be playing the lead in the Kannada version. And the actor has said that this will be his next.
Chowka, directed by Tarun Sudhir and set in 1995, sees the actor along with Priyamani.

The Charlie remake will be directed by GN Rudresh, whose directorial debut Hai is slated for release this week. The makers are in the process of finalising the heroine, after which they will have a muhurath and start on the film’s shooting.

Charlie, directed by Martin Prakkat in Malayalam, was one of Dulquer Salmaan’s hits, and it boosted his career graph.
The film, released in 2015, got the best opening in Mollywood and made excellent business overseas too. The film featured Parvarthy and Aparna Gopinath among others.
