Vijayaprasad’s upcoming directorial 34:34 - Ladies Tailor is back making headlines for the choice of its hero. The team, after considering two actors for the role, has finally settled on a third in Jaggesh. This is also interesting for bringing back the actor-director team together once more, after their successful Neer Dose.
Here’s a recap. When the filmmakers had initially announced plans to make this movie, they had named Ravi Shankar Gowda as the lead, but later they planned it with Ninasam Sathish. Then they bounced back to Ravi Shankar Gowda and we thought that was settled. Now, after much thought, the team has decided to bring Jaggesh on board.
Our source says, “Within the industry circles, whoever has heard the story of Ladies Tailor, unanimously opined that the role will fit Jaggesh and only him. Even ardent cinegoers feel that only the actor can justify the character. Accordingly, the production house and director went with the popular choice, and have signed Jaggesh on Friday.”
It is now a matter of official confirmation from the makers. Vijayaprasad now has another test to go through, which is to sign a heroine for the film. The director was particular while choosing an actress who weighs 120 kgs. Though some heroines have shown interest in working in the film, including Sharmiela Mandre, most are skeptical about putting on all that weight. Whether he will wait to cast a heroine who meets his weight expectations or whether he will drop the weight issue altogether, is yet to be seen.
34:34, made under the Yogaraj Bhat Movies, is being produced by Sudhir and Sanath. The film has music by Anoop Seelin and cinematography by Sugnaan.
