Though it has been a slow start for Akshara Gowda in tinsel town, the actress now seems to have caught up. The actress, who has made a mark in Tamil, Hindi and now in Kannada, is set for a big break in Kollywood.
If sources are to go by, Akshara will be featured opposite Silambarasan in his upcoming Tamil film Billa 3 - a project which the actor himself is directing and producing under his banner.
The shoot starts in October and Simbu will leave for the US first week of August to prepare for the shoot, because most of the movie will be set abroad with a few portions to be shot in Mumbai. The film’s team are planning to release a teaser anytime soon, before Simbu’s trip abroad.
Meanwhile, the filmmakers had been on an extensive search for an actress to play the female lead and decided that Akshara would fit the bill. More details of the film will be revealed in the coming days.
Billa craze started with Rajinikanth, then Ajith took the story forward. He remade Billa and followed it up with Billa 2. Now Simbu will step into the greats’ shoes.
Akshara, who has been featured in films such as Thuppaki, Aarambam and Bogan, also made her Bollywood debut with Rangrezz.
