The terrorist attack in London has changed plans for the Kannada film The Villain. Prem and team had to make a last minute change in the movie location. The director, who had scheduled their shoot in London from June 9 was about to leave the city on Monday night, but had to cancel their trip owing to the tragedy that had taken place on June 3.

The team has now reworked their plan, and will leave for Bangkok today and follow it up with London tour.

Prem says, “We were leaving two days ahead of the rest of the team’s arrival, to select a few local artistes before our lead actors join us. But I was told that I will not be able shoot in the three locations --

Buckhimgham Place, Trafalgar Square and Westminister Bridge -- which I had zeroed in on during my recce. Among these places, I was particular about shooting on the bridge, which is the most important spot for my story. I had even got permission to shoot from June 9 and we were planning to block the road for the shoot.”

The director is now ready to wait. “The coordinator from London informed us that lot of restrictions are in place and we have been instructed to wait for three weeks, for everything to settle,” he says.
Prem is heading to Bangkok along with the crew and to get everything ready, and then artistes will join them.

The Villain stars Shivarajkumar and Sudeep in the lead with Amy Jackson marking her Kannada debut in it. The film also features Sruthi Hariharan.
