Imran Sardhariya is set for yet another interesting directorial chapter with his second project, Uppu Huli Khara that is slated for a grand release this week.Imran marked his directing debut with Endendigu Since then it has taken him, a little longer to come up with his next film. Imran says he is very excited about Uppu Huli Khara, which according to him “has flavours of life that people will taste and surely like”. He further tells CE, “This is the underline theme of my movie - how various characters face difficult situations and how well they handle them.”

He says his latest can be classified as a dark humour. Sharing his ideas on the movie, Imran, says, “In society or life we see various types of people, some become silent spectators to incidents, others resign to fate, and then there are those who revolt and voice their concerns. Such characters are shown in the film.”
A choreographer turned director, Imran says, “As a choreographer, I handle around 24 crafts just for a 4 minute segment, but as a director, the same craft has to be shown from scratch till the release of a movie.”

On donning the director’s hat, he says, “A film directors job is to convince people working with your thought and energies, which has to be forwarded to the audiences. So, I have to convince myself with the idea and whether I can excite the people with this thought. Any job concerned with cinema, just needs dedication and sincerity.” In the process of directing, he says he has realised the difference between being a choreographer and a director.

“My songs, my choreography fetched me more work, and elevated me as a director. Since, I always brought in colour and something new with my dance sequence, the audience expect the same from my direction too. I admit I missed this in Endendigu , as I prioritised the content and forgot about the commercial elements such as dance, action and overall entertainment,” he says.

Malashree plays a pivotal role, with actors such as Anushree, Sharath, Jayashree, Dhananjay, Shashi Devaraj also in the film. The film has music by Juday Sandy, Prajwal Pai and Kishore Aksa. Niranjan Babu is the cameraman.

First time Producer M Ramesh took Sudha Murthy’s advice before taking up Uppu Hulli Khara. Imran Sardhariya shares his first experience meeting Sudha Murthy. “Producer M Ramesh, considers Sudha Murthy as his mentor. My first interaction with her was amazing. In simple words, she said that she is aware of me and was very straightforward. She asked Ramesh to go ahead, only if the story was good. Within 20 minutes of my conversations, she okayed the movie and it was a boost to my confidence,” says Imran
