BENGALURU: At this wedding, the-bride-to-be (played by Parul Yadav) from Gokarna is seen dancing with gusto to the tunes of  Naale namma maneyalli bahala dodda karyakrama… namma hudgi marriage ede. This is the shoot for Parul’s next Kannada film Butterfly, a remake of the Hindi movie and Kangana Ranaut-starrer Queen.

The film directed by Ramesh Aravind has Caeser Gonsalves from Bollywood choreographing the song, the shooting of which was being done in Mysuru over the last three days. City Express got hold of a few pictures from the sets, and, along with Parul Yadav, we also see actors Dharmendra, Bhargavi Narayan, Padmaja Rao and new faces.

The director, who is helming this film in three languages,  tells us that he was “very happy and confident” that the Kannada song will come out well, much like the Hindi song London Thumpakada.
Ramesh, who is likely to start shooting the Tamil version of the track in a day or two, says, “I had given a brief for the song, that it should become an anthem at weddings, and the lyricist Yogaraj Bhat has managed to do just that. It was fun shooting this song, there was a lot of energy on the sets.”

He adds that schedule for shooting the Tamil version will also depend on the strike, which has now been called in Tamil Nadu. “If everything is sorted, we should soon be at the sets with Kajal Aggarwal for the same song and with Caesar choreographing the track,” he says. Ramesh is glad that the Kannada version of Queen is almost over and has been beautifully done. “A small portion has to be shot, which will be done in Paris. Otherwise, the film is done,” he says.

The director, who is helming the film in three languages, will now look to complete the Tamil version and later begin with Telugu one starring Tamannah Bhatia. Queen remade in all south Indian languages has music by Amit Trivedi and cinematography by Satya Hegde.
