Ravichandran to Remake Mr Fraud

Looks like actor-director Ravichandran has developed a fondness for Malayalam films and Mohanlal. It is but obvious because Ravichandran’s last film Drishya was a remake of the Malayalam film Drishyam that starred Mohanlal. Now, we hear he plans to direct and act in the remake of Mr Fraud, another film by Mohanlal.

Mr Fraud is an action-thriller that released in May 2014. Written and directed by B Unnikrishnan, the film is about a conman whose aim is to loot the treasure of a royal household. Dev Gill, Vijay Babu, Mia George, Manjari Phadnis and Pallavi Purohit are the other actors in the film. The Kannada version is supposed to named Rajakarani.

While the film received mixed reviews, we wonder why Ravichandran wants to remake this in Kannada. The filmmaker is currently busy with a handful of films, in which he will only be seen as an actor. He is also directing three films - Andhu, Apoorva and Ranadheera, which stars his son Manoranjan. If everything goes as planned, Rajakarani will be his fourth directorial project in a row.
