With music as its high, comes ‘Ormayundo Ee Mukham’, a breezy rom-com. The movie which has Vineeth Sreenivasan, the soulful voice behind many melodious songs, and the charming Namitha Pramod as a couple, will reach the screens next month. Debutant Anwar Sadik, the director of the movie says: “Love and music are subjects that are close to everyone’s heart. This  movie is a full-length musical that narrates a love story. And, before anyone gets any idea, the movie is poles apart from the ‘high-voltage effect’ that the title gives.

The movie has a businessman and an artist falling for each other. For a change, ‘Ormayundo Ee Mukham’ has no villain to wreck havoc in the lovers’ paradise.

“It is the story of few individuals who don’t want to hurt the feelings of others. On the surface level, the personal and professional issues of the couple create a dent in their life, and the movie follows the subsequent events,” says Anwar who has penned the screenplay and dialogues of the movie.

While Vineeth plays Gautham, a gentle youngster, Namitha’s character Nitya is a surprise for the viewers, says the director. Gautam is the son of a widow, Vasundhara Devi.  Apart from Vasundhara, a strong lady who runs her  family business all alone, Gautham also has his grandmother. Yesteryear actors Rohini and Lakshmi plays Vasundhara and grandmother.

Vineeth and Namitha comes as a pair onscreen for the first time though they have acted together in ‘Traffic’. The director who is all words for his lead pair says, “Gautham is a soft-spoken person who can charm people with his ways. As Vineeth is someone whom every Malayali loves, he suits the role best. The actor has perfectly done the character.” From what we can see in the posters and songs, Vineeth has infused a whiff of freshness to the character.

He adds: “Vineeth will be spotted in a never-seen-before avatar. He had shed oodles of weight before the shoot. Nitya is a bold person, and Namitha too has beautifully done the character, especially the emotional sequences.”

Fun element and friendship are the main features of the movie. Lakshmi’s grandma’s character is a humorous person who will be liked for her perfect comic timing, says the director. Aju Varghese’s Apoorva is yet another important character. “As the name indicates, Apoorva is a hilarious person. Soumya Sadanandan plays his lover. Soumya acts as Namitha’s younger sister,” says Anwar. Mukesh, Idavela Babu, Ravindran and Bhagath are the other actors.

For those who want to hear the magical combination of Shaan Rahman and Vineeth Sreenivasan once again after ‘Thattathin Marayathu’, this movie is an opportunity. Vineeth croons two songs in the movie composed by Shaan. The other singers are Hari Shankar, Mridula Warrier and Rinu Razak.

The shooting of the film which took place at Kochi and Pondicherry is over. The film will hit the theatres by November.
