Actor Dileep’s marriage may have created some buzz in the social media but his next release Georgettan’s Pooram wont be affected by all that, says directorK Biju.
The movie, which will hit the theatres on January 2017, is Dileep’s first release post his marriage with Kavya Madhavan. “What the audience care is whether the movie is worth watching or not. All controversies surrounding one’s personal life has no significance on the fate of the movie. We have made a good movie and is sure that the people will love it,” says the director.
Georgettan’s Pooram has the Dileep playing the character of George Vadakkan, a wayward young man.
“Georgettan’s Pooram explores the connection between George Vadakkan and his father Mathews Vadakkan (played by Renji Panicker). Mathews Vadakkan is a priest and wants his son to be one as well. But, George Vadakkan is someone who is on the other extreme. The movie explores the chemistry between them,” says the director.
The movie has Thrissur as its backdrop. “It is shot in Thrissur and the second half has Pooram as a strong element,” says the director. Georgettan’s Pooram has Rajisha Vijayan and Malavika in the lead. “The movie has a strong humour thread but overall it is a youthful entertainer,” says Biju. This is K Biju’s second movie post Dr Love that had Kunchacho Boban in the lead.
