Guppy director John Paul’s next with Nivin Pauly is likely to have Tovino Thomas playing a significant character, say sources. The buzz is  that the character will be a prominent one and will have a huge screen  space.

However, the director told City Express that it is too early to comment on this. “I am in talks with Tovino. As, of now I can only say that Nivin plays  the protagonist in the movie,” says John Paul. He added that the movie will give Nivin Pauly a chance to display his acting chops.

“It is a complex role and I am sure Nivin can do it well. I told Nivin the story and he loved it. However, we are working on the screenplay and the movie is likely to go on the floors by mid 2017,” says the director.

He added that the remaining cast and crew will be decided once the script is ready. John Paul’s directorial debut had Tovino Thomas playing the hero. The movie was critically acclaimed though it didn’t have a good run in the theatres.
