Thrilled

Kannur girl Resna can barely hide her glee, for she has landed a noticeable debut in a Prithviraj starrer and that too in a Jeethu Joseph directorial. Resna will play the character of Aiswarya in Jeethu’s highly-anticipated  flick Oozham which is a family drama. “I play Prithviraj’s sister in the movie. It is actually a meaty role where Neeraj Madhav and I play siblings to the character of Prithviraj. The movie is a family drama but later pans out to be a revenge outing,” says Resna.

She says her character has many combination scenes with Prithviraj in the movie which gave her the jitters. “Like any debutant, I was also a bag of nerves. Jeethu sir had helped me a lot to get under the skin of the  character. He had explained me how the character of Aiswarya has a  significance in the storyline,” says Resna.

She is all praise for her co-stars. “Prithviraj is a wonderful co-star and  a strong support system for debutants like me. He values hard work a lot and  is always in the forefront to cheer for you when you give a good shot,” says Resna.

But, how did she land the role? “I was looking out for a debut when Jeethu sir stumbled into my portfolio. He called and asked me to audition for  Oozham and I was selected for the character. My portions in the movie has been shot in Coimbatore,” she adds.

The movie that will hit the screens this Onam also has Balachandra Menon and Seetha playing prominent roles.
