Amidst the rumours doing the rounds about his next project, starring Mammootty and Dileep, director Priyadarshan has clarified that he hasn’t decided anything yet.
“Who spreads these rumours. Even Mammootty and I have no idea about the so-called project,” said the director, rejecting all hearsay. “I don’t know from where such news comes from. I did think about a few potential projects, including one with Mammootty. But, every director discusses possible subjects but that doesn’t mean that I am doing every single one of them. As of now, I haven’t finalised anything,” he added.
The director, whose last film was the Mohanlal-starrer Oppam, which went on to become a superhit, said talks are on about the Hindi remake of Oppam.
“Viacom has acquired the rights and I will be doing that project in Hindi. But, again, we are still in the talking stage and it is too early to comment on anything. But, yes, that project is on,” the director added.
