I was a bit hesitant to take the risk for several factors. However, when P T Kunju Muhammed sir offered me the lead role in his movie, I decided that I was willing to take the risk. I just fell in love with the script,” he said.

In the movie, Roshan plays Mansoor, the title character. “ He is a young boy from Thalassery, who is driven with ideals of nationalism. I think the story is very relevant in today’s time especially when issues like the national anthem row is blatantly questioning the nationalism sentiments in people,” he said.  The movie unfolds through the life of Mansoor and his mother, played by actress Gautami.

“ They lead very small lives. However, things change once a girl and her mother who are distant relatives, come to live with them. Soon, Mansoor is in the line of fire where people start questioning his ideals and sense of nationalism.”
