Anandam stars Roshan Mathew and Vishak Nair are teaming up once again to play friends in upcoming movie Matchbox which will go on the floors this Monday.

The movie directed by debutant Shivaram Mony will be shot completely in  Kozhikode. Roshan Mathew will play Ambu, son of a comrade while Vishak will play Pandey and retain the funny avatar he managed to effortelessly pull off in Anandam.

“He is the funniest guy in the movie but definitely there are no resemblances to Kuppi. We are a group of four friends living in Kozhikode. A new girl invades into our space. The story is a celebration of friendship, family and romance,” says Roshan.

Roshan adds that both of them were offered the roles for the film immediately after Anandam became a
box-office hit.

Dhrisya of Happy Wedding fame will play the heroine. Actor Shine Tom Chacko’s brother Joe Chacko and actor Joy Mathew’s son Mathew Joy Mathew will  complete the gang.

“The movie also discusses a social issue and highlights taboo topics that  families hesitate to discuss,” Roshan adds. The movie is being produced by  Revathy Kalamandhir production house.

The movie is expected to wind-up in 35 days.  The music is by Bijibal while  the script is by Nikhil Anand and Kemin. Meanwhile, Roshan will next be seen in P T Kunjumuhammed’s Viswasapoorvam Mansoor opposite Prayaga Martin.
