Malayalam actor Aditi Ravi, who was last seen in Pranav Mohanlal’s Aadhi, will make her Tamil debut in Ajith from Aruppukottai, the remake of the Vishnu Unnikrishnan-starrer, Kattapanayile Ritwik Roshan. She will reprise Prayaga Martin’s character from the original.

Aditi tells us that she has begun shooting for the film in Pollachi. “I am thrilled to be making my Tamil debut. Adding to my excitement, I got a message from Simbu who has welcomed me to the industry,” she says. The actor says she plans to play her character differently. “As such, there isn’t a big  difference compared to what Prayaga did, but that won’t stop me from giving it a different touch,” she adds.

Though the film is directed by Nadir Shah, who also helmed the Malayalam version, Aditi says Ajith  from Aruppukottai is as fresh as it can get. “Except for Nadir Shah, Dharmajan Bolgatty and me, there are very few Malayalis in the crew. This is a very Tamil experience,” says Aditi. “I can speak in Tamil now, and want to dub for this film too.”
