Tovino Thomas, who was last seen in Aami, is a part of Tamil director Gautham Menon's next project, which is a sequel to Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (2010). This will be the actor's second movie in Tamil, the first being Maari 2, where he will be seen playing an antagonist to Dhanush.
This also marks Tovino's second association with Gautham Menon. The duo had earlier released a music track Ulaviravu, a romantic track, on Valentine's Day.The sequel to Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa will also have Madhavan playing the lead. He will reprise the role Simbu did in the original.
Meanwhile, the first look of Tovino's next in Malayalam Oru Kuprasidha Payyan was released. It had Tovino sporting a village guy look. The movie, directed by Madhupal, is said to be inspired by murder cases in Kerala.
