THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The biggest challenge in making short films and short animations is narrating the tale within a short timeframe. At the 11th edition of IDSFFK, a film student has come up with a one-minute short animation film which garnered appreciation from critics, film and animation lovers alike.

For Sethulakshmi Muraleedharan,  a student of KR Narayanan National Institute of Visual Science and Arts at Kottayam, the screening of her maiden short animation film ‘Curiosity’ at IDSFFK is a dream come true. Her film is one of the shortest animation film screened in the fest.

According to her, the film depicts the curiosity of a robot in a spaceship while travelling through space. But, it was selected and screened in the category of Focus -Animation short films. I am happy that my film got such a platform. The appreciation and encouragement I got from the audience is a dream come true for me. Thanks to the support extended from my institute,” Sethulakshmi added.
