For music buffs, especially Yuvan fans, it’s good news as Yuvan is all set to perform live for the first time in Chennai on January 16, 2011 at YMCA Grounds, Nandanam. Vijay TV is organising the grand event that will see Yuvan’s whole family on stage. At a press meet to announce the event, K Sriram, general manager, Vijay TV, pointed out the similarities between Vijay TV and Yuvan Shankar Raja. “Both (Yuvan and Star Vijay) are for younger generation and are stylish too. It will be a world-class event,” said Sriram. The theme of the live concert is ‘Celebrating Young and Fresh Music’. Yuvan together with well-known singers like Shreya Goshal, Shankar Mahadevan, Karthik, Haricharan, Andrea, Tanvi and Madhumitha will entertain the audience with his scintillating numbers. The highlight of this evening would be a special segment where Yuvan will perform along with his father, maestro Ilaiyaraja.  Throwing more light on the event, Pradeep Milroy Peter, programming head, Vijay TV said the event was initially planned in a foreign country. “We told Yuvan that we could put our best towards the event, if it happens in Chennai and he immediately accepted it.” The event’s logo was released and the promotional music video, I’ll be there for you, composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and performed by him, was screened to the mediapersons. Pradeep said, “When we asked Yuvan whether we could do a music video to promote the event, he immediately accepted it. The whole process right from penning lyrics(Na Muthukumar has penned the lyrics), to scoring music, was done in a week.” Director Vishnuvardhan has directed the video and Nirav Shah has cranked the camera for the music video. Lyricist Na Muthukumar said the lyrics penned by him would talk about the relationship the music director and his fans shared. Directors Venkat Prabhu, Lingusamy and Ameer praised the young music director for his down-to-earth attitude. As usual Yuvan kept his speech very short.  He said that he was blessed to have genuine people around him. Apart from the concert, Vijay TV will air a special series titled, Yuvan Isai Raja on weekdays at 8 pm. The music directors’ close associates would talk about the music director and his music.
