K-town’s Om Shanti Om with Shrikant

Shrikant is on a high ever since his latest release Paagan brought him appreciation. The film was a comic family entertainer with Janani Iyer as heroine. After Paagan, the actor was busy mulling over scripts with care. Now we hear, that he has signed on his next film titled Om Shanti Om (OSO).

The actor, who is currently shooting for the movie in  Trichy, spoke to City Express, revealing more details,

“We started shooting on February 1 with a small puja and no fanfare. The film is directed by Rajesh’s former associate Prabhakar and Neelam from Tollywood plays heroine.”

The shoot is taking place in Trichy and Tanjore and will move to Chennai later.

Shrikant is very happy with OSO’s script, “After Paagan, I was choosing my next when Rajesh sent me this script. It’s a good entertaining love story which the kids, youth and families all can enjoy. It also has a social message. We are planning to finish the shoot fast and release the film during the summer holidays.”

Vallinam’s cinematographer Bhasker handles the camera for OSO too, while Jr Balaiah, Baiju and others form the rest of the cast. The unit may move abroad to shoot some songs later.
