Libra Productions, whose two films, Nalanum Nandiniyum and Sutta Kadhai, are already underway, had recently launched their third project with director Nandini J S.

The film, an investigative thriller titled Kolai Nokku Paravai, stars Evam-fame Karthik Kumar and actor Radhika Apte. The music is by Aswath, who is also a part of Nalanum Nandiniyum team. The camera work is by newbie A Vasanth, a classmate of Nandini at the Film Institute. Nandini will soon start her location-hunting in the thick forests of the State, as the film is a story about serial murders in a mountain village. Speaking to CE, Nandini disclosed, “I took a break from films for three years after Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru, in order to start my family. I had decided to have a kid only after I proved myself as a director and I thank my husband for his support all through. Now that my child is over a year old, I have started my next project.”

Speaking about her cast, she said, “I have total confidence in Karthik Kumar, who is also my friend. I know his potential which can be brought out on screen only in a suitable story by somebody who knows him well. He plays a CB CID cop from Chennai, who comes to investigate the murders at a mountain village. Radhika Apte plays a TV reality show anchor, who comes to the village to report the murders.”

Producer Ravindar said, “I usually introduce fresh talent in my films, but have made an exception with Nandini, who has already directed a film. It’s because I have total faith in her script.”

Now the production house has announced their fourth project as well. It is titled 1+1= 3 to be directed by a newcomer Manikandan. The cast of the film is yet to be finalised, but the crew includes newcomer David as cameraman and debutant Rathan as music director.

In keeping with his desire to encourage new talent, Ravindar said he would soon be doing campus recruitments for Vis-Com students based on a short film competition.
