Ajith to keep low profile till fully fit

The grapevine has been rife with rumours of several directors meeting up with Ajith  to sign him up for. But now, Ajith himself has quashed all rumours of future projects other than the ones for A M Ratnam and Vijaya Productions. According to his spokesperson, Ajith wishes to confirm that he has not been  meeting any directors for new ventures nor has he heard any new  scripts till date. The reason is that the actor, who had got injured while shooting in Mumbai for Ratnam’s film, during a stunt scene, is now contemplating a much needed surgery. The scene was one involving several fast moving vehicles, in which Ajith did a daredevil stunt. Incidentally, the film has Ajith teaming up with Nayanthara and Arya, along with Taapsee, Rana Dagubatti, Atul Kulkarni, Mahesh Manjrekar and Kishore. The Dubai shoot of the film is over and Ajith is slated to shoot for the next schedule on April 15. Though surgery had been advised much earlier, Ajith had postponed it since he did not want to inconvenience his producers who would have to rework the dates of several artistes in their  multi-starrers. This would have caused plenty of problems, both financial and logistical, for the producers. Ajith, ever the gentleman as he is known in the industry, had decided to fulfil his commitments first in order to save them any hassle on his account. It may be recalled that the actor had recently lost weight and had undergone special training and gymming sessions with his trainer Siva, in preparation for his role, despite his injury.

Now, he has hit upon a date for his proposed surgery, which will he will undergo on October 21 this year. Ajith has said that he will not meet anyone regarding new projects nor discuss any scripts with directors, till he is back on his feet post the surgery. The operation is likely to be either in Mumbai or abroad.

In the meantime, the actor will begin work on his next film, for Vijaya Productions, in the centenary year of their founder, Nagi Reddy. The first schedule will begins on April 1 at Hyderabad. Tamannaah is his heroine in this film directed by Siva.
