Gautham Karthik now steps into Nani’s shoes

Actor Gautham Karthik will be part of the Tamil remake of the Telugu film Ala Modalaindi, which starred Nani and Nithya Menon.

Kadal’s curly-haired hero Gautham Karthik was busy looking at scripts coming his way after his debut with Mani Ratnam. And now, it looks like he has made a decision finally and has signed on the dotted line. The actor will be part of the Tamil remake of the Telugu film Ala Modalaindi, which starred Nani and Nithya Menon.

The news has been confirmed by the film’s producers P Ravikumar and PV Prasad. Their company has already made a mark  in the South Indian Film industry for the past 30 years, as suppliers of  film shooting equipment.  After establishing a foothold in the industry with their film lab as well, the company is now venturing into film production.

The filming of the movie will start soon. This will be Gautham Karthik’s second movie. D Imman is the music director while the direction will be by Ravi Thiagarajan. The rest of the cast and crew will be finalised soon. The film has been tentatively titled as Production No 1. The shoot will take place in Mysore, Hyderabad and in a foreign location as well.
