Kollywood Flicks to Watch Out for this Summer

Joining hands with the surprising summer rains, Kollywood's big shots are showering audience with their flicks. Unlike the usual summer holidays, this year is going to be more exiting with the release of four big flicks, Kanchana-2, O Kadhal Kanmani, Uthama Villain and Vai Raja Vai.

O Kadhal Kanmani

Director: Mani Rathnam

Cast: Dulquer Salmaan, Nithya Menen

It doesn't matter if you're a Mani Ratnam fan or not, his latest outing, "O Kadhal Kanmani" is sure to leave you with an everlasting smile on your face. OK Kanmani has music by A.R. Rahman and also marks the jointure of Ratnam with P.C. Sreeram. This flick, being Mani's comeback to the romance genre, is set in Mumbai. It follows the story of a young couple who decide to live together before marriage.

"O Kadhal Kanmani" has given Ratnam a much needed hit after his last outing, "Kadal", not only bombed, but also burnt the pockets of several distributors.

Kanchana:

Director: Raghava Lawrencce

Cast: Raghava Lawrencce, Taapse Pannu, Nitya Menen, Jayaprakash and Kovai Sarla

Following the success of his two earlier horror-comedy series, Lawrence is back with Kanchana-2, the third flick of Muni. It centres on a TV crew who go to a deserted beach house bungalow in Mahabalipuram to shoot their ghost tales.

Raghava plays an adult who pins slippers and brooms on his bedroom wall to be safe from ghosts. Lawrence also plays about five ghost roles in the movie.

Uthama Villain:

Director: Ramesh Aravind

Cast: Kamal Hassan, Jayaram, Andrea Jeremiah, Pooja Kumar, Nassar, Parvathi, Parvathy Nair and Urvashi.

Employing characteristic out-of-the-box methods, Kamal Haasan launched the audio of this film on an app, instead of conventional CDs This movie, after a lot of controversies, is finally announced to be released on the 1 of March. This comedy-drama genre, will have Kamal Hassan performing duel role. One as a modern-day super star and the other as a 8th century's theater artist.

Vai Raja Vai:

Director: Aishwarya R Danush

Cast: Gautham Karthik and Priya Anand.

This romantic-thriller, after receiving a good response for the 70 second trailer on 18th April, has created more expectations from audience. Aishwarya has collaborated with Yuvan for composing music for the film. The movie's release date is not released yet.
